Taste before you buy.

The fourth secret spot is a cheese shop in a yellow half-timbered house on the square, where buttons and trimmings were once sold — look for the black OST sign. Greta Lund has kept the counter for more than thirty years: over 175 Danish and foreign cheeses, around fifty for slicing and fifteen to twenty blue, cut to the weight you ask for, and tasted first.

Around the cheese: dry sausages and pâtés from Slagter Munch in Skagen, air-dried ham, Italian and Spanish sausages, marmalades, olives and crackers, wine and Italian specialty beer — grill sausages in summer, sylte at Christmas. Cheese platters to order for ten or more; gift cards at the till.
