Land, then leave.

Copenhagen Airport, Kastrup, is the arrival point for most visitors to Køge: a single-terminal airport with around 30 million travellers a year and 184 destinations. From the arrivals hall it is about 35 minutes to Køge by road, with no city traffic in between — Køge is south, Copenhagen is north, and you do not have to cross it.

Behind the walls, your suitcase is now planned by an algorithm. Since April 2026 a departure operator module — machine learning plus optimisation — forecasts how many bags each departing flight will check in and when they will arrive, and allocates the flights across the 130 chutes of Baggage Factory 3 the day before. A new baggage reclaim hall is due in 2027.
