Chapters open as you walk.

Natureventyr is a free Danish app of fairy-tale walks, written for children aged four to nine. You start the story at the trailhead; the map shows the way, and each chapter opens when you are close to its spot. On the way you meet fairies, trolls, talking ducks and a wizard’s apprentice — and the children help the heroes with small challenges between chapters.

Køge has two tales. One runs through the green areas round Dyndet, the lake by Borup — an old peat bog, now a bathing lake, with steps up onto Køge Ås for the view. The other is at Nissebjerget in Herfølge. The start points and the length of each walk are in the app.

For visitors from abroad: the same company publishes the app as Naturetales, which also runs in English, German, Norwegian, Spanish and Catalan, and most of its adventures can be walked in English and German. Whether the two Køge tales are translated yet, the app will tell you — switch the language before you set out.
