Pizza from the oven, one stop down the line.

Lillesyd is a farm on Bjergvej in Herfølge: a self-service farm shop and café called Makketutten, open every day from nine in the morning to half past eight, and a village hall that the film producer Peter Aalbæk Jensen, his wife Lise, their family and a crowd of volunteering friends run as the heart of Bjergbyen, the eco-village planned around it. On Thursdays the hall sits down to a communal dinner at long tables, opened with a song from the Højskolesangbog. On Fridays and Saturdays, from October 2026, it smells of a pizza oven.

The oven belongs to Sommerlunds Grill & Italienske Madunivers, who announced the pop-up on 7 October 2026. Their pizza borrows from all twenty regions of Italy — their own point is that Italy is twenty kitchens, not one — with the weight on the dough, the tomato and the cheese, and toppings that follow the season. Eat in the hall or take the boxes home to the family; takeaway is ordered at the pizza house on the night, not online. The photograph is theirs: a pizza on its board in front of the oven, the room behind it printed here in eight screens.
