A bite of Thailand, on the square.

Wokshop has cooked Thai food in Denmark since 2000 — Thai chefs, curries in three strengths, a chili selection on the side for anyone who wants a fourth — in rooms that look like this one: rattan lamps the size of weather balloons, a ceiling of hanging rods, velvet chairs, objects brought home from Asia. Thirteen restaurants so far, ten in and around Copenhagen and one each in Roskilde, Slagelse and Odense. Køge’s, on Torvet, is next.

Order the way the room wants you to: the Thai sharing menu, eight servings for two or more, changes five times a year; the Lotus experience stretches it to eleven. Or a bowl of your own — drunken noodles, Pad Thai with shrimps, a Chiang Mai yellow curry — with mango sticky rice to finish. Lunch specials until three, takeaway cheaper before five. The photograph is one of the chain’s dining rooms, printed here as the weave of its own lamps.
